Where it All Began!
Jeanie Olinger started writing in her early teens. She began expressing herself through poetry and journaling. When she began playing the guitar at 13, she added song lyrics to her writing activities.
She was always a bit eccentric, and most would call her a nerd. But she loved it when it was time to do research papers. It meant a trip to the library to carry home a huge stack of books, hours of reading and research, and tons of notecards and footnotes. Not only did she enjoy learning and reading, but she also loved the process of pulling all the information together into a well-organized manner.
As an adult, Jeanie continued journaling, writing poetry and song lyrics, and began writing Bible study guides and devotionals. She believes the Bible is still practical and applicable today, and her writings reflect this, while sprinkled with brutal honesty about the struggles and challenges of life.
Now What?
In 2008, her son was in a near-fatal car accident and suffered numerous injuries, including a traumatic brain injury. She became a full-time caregiver for him and found herself needing to obtain work outside of teaching school, which was her profession.
She began writing online content in 2010. Today, Jeanie Olinger makes her living writing for clients across many industries. She also continues writing blogs, study guides, and devotionals.
